Sixth Chords

To form a Sixth chord, you take a Major Chord and add the sixth note of the scale. The Sixths sound particularly pleasant and make a nice change from Majors.

Example: This is the scale of G again

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
G A B C D E F# G

The sixth note is an E and adding this to G major would give a G6. Note that this is now a 4 note Chord comprising the Root, 3rd, 5th and 6th
