Bay Horse

One of the best folk clubs in South Yorkshire in the 1970s. It was held in the bare upstairs room and was nearly always full. There was a regular sprinkling of guests interwoven with locals nights. The resident was John Leonard who sang Leonard Cohen songs among other things. He went on to be a radio producer and now produces the Mike Harding Folk programme on Radio 2. The guests included Jonathan Kelly, Tony Capstick, Mike Harding, Bernard Wrigley and many others.
