A Traditional Dance from the Auvergne region of France. It exists in two forms - the 2-times Bourée and the 3-times Bourée.

2-times Bouree

Longways sets, Ladies facing Gentlemen. Lines move forward and back 4 times (A part). Everyone moves forward and changes place 4 times (B part). Face partners by turning during crossover. The tunes are in 2/4 time.

3-times Bouree

Essentially the same dance but with small sets - sometimes just 2 couples. In the B part, if danced en masse, the dancers may circle and cross with their partner. The tunes are in 3/8 time.
