Crying The NeckA tradition in Devon and Cornwall which is a custom associated with the last sheaf of the Harvest. The last sheaf or Neck is blessed, ceremonially cut and tied with a chant which varies by area. It is a call and response chant between the cutter and the onlookers along the lines of:
