Deal Maritime Folk Festival

A small Folk Festival in the Kent town of Deal which normally happens in the third weekend in September, starting on the Friday evening. There is plenty of street entertainment from dancers and Sessions and sing arounds for those who want to take part.

It started in 1996 as the Sea Shanty Festival, funded by local council but when funding was cut, the festival changed its name and continued with the help of local musicians.
