Robin and Barry Dransfield are Yorkshire folk singers from Harrogate who started in 1965 and sang as a duo from 1969 but split up in 1972, the year that the duo were offered a large recording deal with Warner Brothers.

Robin and Barry rejoined in 1975 to record The Fiddler's Dream' but split again soon after it was released.

Barry has worked with the Albion Band, composed for film and TV and has appeared in films. He now runs a violin restoration business in Hastings.

Robin was Roadie for Dave and Toni Arthur for a while.

The duo regrouped for a last album - Popular to Contrary Belief.
