Ewan Maccoll

Ewan was born with the real name of James Miller and came from Lancashire. He was an actor as well as a Folk Singer and wrote and produced songs of his own. He was also a well known Communist and father of Kirsty who was tragically killed in the year 2000 at the age of 41.

He changed his name in the late 1940s, apparently enamoured by the Lallans Movement in Scotland (his parents were Scottish).
