English Banjo Maker

Emile Grimshaw (1880 - 1943) from Accrington played, taught, built and composed tunes for banjo in the early 20th century. He actually learnt Mandolin before moving to banjo.

In 1911 he was appointed editor of BMG by Clifford Essex in which capacity he continued for 22 years.

His company, which he formed with his son in 1933 made Banjos and Guitars.
