Hardanger Fiddle

Hardanger FiddleA traditional stringed Instrument without Frets from Norway also called the Hardingerfele. It looks similar to a Fiddle but has extra strings which are sympathetic strings and resonate when the others are played and hence has 8 or 9 tuning pegs. It is usually more decorated than a fiddle on the body, the neck and the peg head. There are many tunings for the instrument and the normal GDAE does not seem to feature that highly. ADAE and AEAC# are common tunings.
