Harmonium

A musical Instrument with a Keyboard controlling Reeds. The air is supplied by foot operated bellows. It was invented in 1842 in Paris and became popular in small churches. It became popular in India where hand-pumped harmoniums are now very common. In the West, the Harmonium was almost entirely superseded by Electric and Electronic Organs from the 1930s onwards.
