Jake Thackray

An English singer songwriter from Yorkshire who started as a teacher. Similar in style to George Brassens who he admired and with whom he collaborated. Came to prominence on TV through the Frost Report, Braden Beat and That's Life.

Well known for preferring small audiences to large venues, his voice, word play and looks. Not least, he was a good guitar player with a unique style which influenced others.
