King Arthur

There are many legends about King Arthur but little historical evidence.

The tales are mostly medieval but there are also elements of Pagan England in some of the legends (particularly Merlin the Magician or Druid). There are similar stories from other Celtic areas such as Brittany.

If anything, Arthur was a tribe leader in England during the Roman occupation.

The legend includes the Knights of Round Table, Excalibur and the Sword in the Stone, Merlin, Guinivere, Lancelot, The Lady of the Lake, Morgana Le Fay and Camelot.
