Mick Moloney

 An Irish musician (Tenor Banjo) from Limerick and part of the second revival in traditional music in the 1960s.

In 1973, after touring with The Johnstons, he stayed in America where he now works and is well known as an ambassador of Irish Music

He became head of the folklore dept at Penn State University PA where he got his PhD in Folklore and Folklife and is deeply involved in the development of Irish folk music in North America including directing tours (of Ireland) and producing television programmes.
