Open Morris

Open Morris started in 1979 by a few East Anglia dancers (Fenstanton) who were amongst the minority of mixed sides at the time. The Morris Ring is for men and would have fainted at the suggestion of mixed sides, and the (Women's) Morris Federation of the time was for women only and similarly against mixed dancing. The stage was set for an Open organisation to help the mixed sides which already existed.

It is open to sides or individuals, offers public liability insurance and regularly talks to the other organisations.
