Reg Hall

Reg Hall is an academic at the University of Sussex who has for many years collected folk music and made extensive field recordings, contributing to the Voice of the People series. He was largely responsible for bringing the likes of Scan Tester and Walter Bulwer to prominence.

Reg is a musician himself, playing Melodeon and although a Doctor of Philosophy, tended not to use his title in folk circles. His interest includes both English and Irish traditional music and he can be heard at the Royal Oak in Lewes.
