Star

A popular Country Dance and Square Dance figure where (usually) two couples put right arms into the centre and hold hands above head height and walk so many paces clockwise. Often it is a move that is 'undone' by putting left hands in and repeating for the same number of steps anticlockwise. More often than not, each figure is 8 steps. Sometimes on the last step, the hands are withdrawn and clapped quickly twice.
