Sweaty AlbertAn English folk duo of the 1970s, Ken Howard and Dave Brooks both being primary teachers invented a character who turned up in most classes and told stories about him, using his name for the duo. They composed and sang their own songs as well as others of the time such as Richard Thompson - Bright Lights was a favourite. They recorded an LP - The Great Wratting Post Office Robbery. Their playing was characterised by two guitars, one of which would be capoed high to give a harmony chord feel to the playing. |
