The Johnstons

An Irish Close Harmony Group. Originally just the family members playing and singing in the family pub in Slane and later joined by Mick and Paul and moving to London in 1969 as a 3-piece leaving Michael and Lucy in Ireland. They disbanded in 1973 but some material has been recently re-released.

The Johnstons brought a number of now-classics to the folk world: The Lark In The Morning, The Lambs On The Green Hills, Fiddlers Green, Paddy's Green Shamrock Shore and The Curragh Of Kildare
