 Not normally thought of as a Folk Instrument, the Tuba is a large Bass member of the Brass Family. It came into existence in 1835. Tubas are normally pitched in F,Eb, C or Bb and are valved instruments and Chromatic. Small 'Tenor' Tubas are Euphoniums and large Tubas are Sousaphones.

Bands which used Tubas include Flowers And Frolics, Gas Mark V and New Victory Band
