William Kimber

William Kimber played concertina for the Headington Quarry Morris men and danced as well. He was playing when Cecil Sharp discovered them in 1899.

Kimber assisted Sharp in his tours around the country explaining the folk tradition he was uncovering. There are recordings of Kimber playing his Anglo concertina

Sharp acknowledges William Kimber senior and junior in the preface to his Morris Book for their information regarding Headington dances.
