Sadly, the Anchor is closing. The last Anchor Irish session will be January 7thSession tunes from the Anchor: Anchor Irish Session Tunes The Bear, Faversham This session is on Thursday nights 9 - 11 weekly. Again join in with any tunes you know, lead others or just listen. Tunes are wide ranging - English, Belgian, French, Irish, Scottish, American and fairly relaxed. Occassional songs. Several Guest Players Get the tunes and set list. Not absolutely all the tunes we play, but a lot and adding more all the time The printed book of tunes 'Son of Bear Bones' is available in the Bear or by Mail Order from me. Copies of the original Bear Bones are also available - please enquire. The last Sunday of the Month is an Irish session at the Chequers in Challock, having moved from the Beverley in St Stephen's and before that the Anchor in Faversham. 2nd Monday of the month at the Half Moon and Seven Stars , Preston from about 8.30 pm is a French session.
3rd Monday of the month at the The Plough and Harrow, Tilmanstone from about 8.30 pm is a mixed session - beginners / intermediate. 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Ship in Conyer is a mixed (mainly English) session for beginners and intermediate but all are welcome 1st Sunday of the month at the Parrot (Simple Simon's) in Canterbury is an Irish session |
